11/09/2011: Our former treasurer Bruce McAllister appeared before a federal magistrate judge in United States District Court in Burlington, Vermont, on November 9th for arraignment on one count of wire fraud. He entered a plea of not guilty and was released on his own recognizance. He also requested a court appointed attorney and this is under consideration by the court. Pre-trial motions in the case are due in February 2012.

11/01/2011: Alpha Theta has learned that in the Federal Court of the District of Vermont, an indictment has been returned accusing our former treasurer Bruce McAllister of a violation of Wire Fraud, Title 18, United States Code Section 1343. This charge is a result of the investigation into missing funds belonging to the fraternity. We will be sending an update to all alumni of the fraternity by postal mail in November as soon as we have a statement from the United States Attorney after an arraignment scheduled for November 9, 2011.
